Space Makers in Brixton

The UK's largest empty shops project is now running in Brixton Village, better known as Granville Arcade!  Twenty empty shop units are being used rent-free for a limited time by start-ups and artists.

Space Makers organised it and made it happen. They've published a full list of the participants here.

The success of this project has brought an empty corner of the Market alive with colour and bustle. Drop by and meet up with local artists and creatives; enjoy their designs, photography, painting, fabric design, food and recipes too!

The Brixton Village arcade is just a few minutes walk from Brixton tube station. There's an entrance on Atlantic Road, on the left, coming from Brixton Road. Or head down Coldharbour Lane from the Town Hall, and there's another entrance on your left just under the railway bridge.
